2021

Directed by: Denis Villaneuve

Written by: Jon Spaihts, Denis Villaneuve, Eric Roth, based on the novel by Frank Herbert

Starring: Timothee Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Zendaya, Oscar Issac

It was an adventure for sure. It took a while for me to settle in. But now I’m excited for part two. Becoming a fan of Timothee and excited to watch him grow.

The majestic lands of the film are felt. The sound design and cinematography were on point. Immersed in a deserted kinda way. Excited to see the outcome.

Sinners

Written & Directed by Ryan Coogler

Starring:

Michael B. Jordan

Wow.. intense doesn’t do this movie any justice. It was emotionally demanding. Once the mind and body tensed halfway through it held the rest of the movie just to be set free near the end and he held the baby. Not normally my cup of tea vampire movies. But this one just hit different. Way different. Filmically just all around hit the marks cinematic, sound on point, musically driven. Felt bad for the girl tha left the theater during credits. The ending was uplifting. Also the dance music scene that shows the different generations was beyond amazing!

Song Sung Blue

A sucker for a good music based film. I had a few tears drop. The Hugh Hudson duo was fluid. Not a Neil Diamond fan by any means but really enjoyed the music throughout the show. Intrigued to see the documentary now.

Just realized directed by Craig Brewer thought I knew that name. He did hustle and flow. Love this guys work!

One Battle After Another

I waited a while to see this movie very excited to see it. I was one of two people in the theater pretty much had the whole thing to myself the Regal mission place on College Avenue in Oceanside. The movie was very entertaining the first 20 minutes of the movie was just on fire, super engaged, super adventurous, super action packed. The movie was long probably could’ve been cut down to the closer to the two hour mark instead of 240 but I didn’t really get bored. It was still entertaining Benicio. Del Toro was amazing. I love his simple character, him drinking and small beers so awesome. Leonardo did great the girl his daughter did great. Sean Penn was amazing fucking fearless, and I don’t know who the girl’s name in the beginning of the movie was but the mother she was outstanding epic performance super sexual, sensual, adventurous freaking fighter likes this epic

Zootopia 2

Great flick, actually saw it for my first time at a RPX (Regal Premiere Experience theatre… It was pretty badass. seats aren’t as nice as the ones at Regal Carlsbad, this one is off college and the 76, but it was a pretty amazing setup and the sound was very loud and punchy just how I like it….

The movie was a lot of fun. High energy, excellent animation and good retention.. I have goals of filling this theater one day with my own film….

Five Nights at Freddy’s 2

I probably should have watched the first one to realize not to waste my time on the second… I fell asleep. But I went because it was a free employee movie night screening. They do them at 11pm. Only 3 of us. Guess those things are kinda a bust..
